    I dont know the proportions exactly, you’ll have to make it to your taste, but i’ll tell you the ingredients i use.

    Mustard
    Vinegar
    Brown Sugar or Honey
    Ketchup
    Liquid Smoke
    Worchestershire Sauce

    there are no exact measurements but here goes:
    Gates BBQ sauce(sweet and mild)
    grape jelly
    brown sugar
    ketchup
    mustard

    i know this sounds gross but its delicious especially with ribs!

    BBQ Sauce

    2 Tab brown sugar
    1 tsp salt
    ½ tsp dry mustard
    1 cup ketchup
    ¾ c water
    2 TAB vinegar
    1 clove garlic, minced
    Generous dab of honey (1 TAB)

    Combine in saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer 10 minutes.
    Makes 2 cups, enough for 4 lbs of ribs
    Also excellent on pork chops.

    2 bottles of Kraft Original BBQ sauce
    3 tbs soy sauce
    3 tbs A-1 sauce
    1 lemon- maybe 2 if you dont get enough juice
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    salt
    pepper
    garlic salt

    well i can hand you a few of my versions of barbecue sauce

    BARBECUE SAUCE

    INGREDIENTS:
    3 cups chopped onion
    1/4 cup honey
    1 tablespoon garlic, chopped
    2 tablespoons lemon juice
    1 cup sweet pepper, chopped
    1 tablespoon salt
    1/2 cup parsley, dried
    3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
    1 cup dry white wine
    3 tablespoons vinegar
    1 tablespoon liquid smoke
    2 cups ketchup
    1/2 tablespoon Louisiana hot sauce
    PREPARATION:
    Place all ingredients in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil. Simmer, covered, over very low heat for 2 to 3 hours.

    SPICY BARBECUE SAUCE

    Use as a basting sauce for grilled or baked ribs, chops, or chicken.

    INGREDIENTS:
    2 cups water
    1/4 cup sugar
    3/4 cup vinegar
    1 cup finely chopped onion
    3/4 cup ketchup
    1 teaspoon black pepper
    1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    1 teaspoon paprika
    2 teaspoons salt
    dash ground cayenne pepper or hot pepper sauce

    PREPARATION:

    Put all ingredients in saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce hat and simmer for 30 minutes. Use as a baste for grilled or baked ribs, chops, or chicken.

    SPARERIB BARBECUE SAUCE

    INGREDIENTS:
    3 cups chopped onion
    1 1/2 tablespoons minced garlic
    4 tablespoons oil
    1 can (16oz) diced tomatoes in liquid
    2 tablespoons dry mustard
    2 tablespoons sugar
    1 1/2 tablespoons vinegar
    3/4 cup tomato paste
    salt and pepper, to taste
    4 to 6 chile peppers, chopped, or to taste

    PREPARATION:
    Saute the onion and garlic in oil until softened. Add remaining ingredients and boil until reduced and thickened. Adjust seasoning and remove from heat. Skewer spareribs, baste with sauce, and grill over coals, basting often, for about 30 minutes.
    Serve with heated sauce on the side.

    I don’t measure exactly, just taste it til you get it right….Take ketchup, mustard, vinegar, worchester sauce, molasses, brown sugar, garlic powder & a little butter then heat on low in small saucepan for about 15 – 20 minutes.
