BEST BBQ GRILLED RIBS (SIMPLE)
2 racks of ribs
salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
1 bottle honey bbq sauce
water
1/8 cup olive oil
aluminum foil
grill
Start off by placing ribs in a glass casserole dish, rub with oil and then with salt and pepper. Now flatten ribs as much as possible and add water just to barely cover them. Ribs racks may be cut in half if needed).
Simmer in oven for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or just until tender; (don’’t try to cook them too fast or they will become tough).
When ribs are finished in the oven, drain them, start grill on medium and allow to heat.
Cover with foil and brush (or pour) on just a small amount of oil to keep ribs from sticking/burning. Brush on first layer of bbq sauce after draining.
Once grill is heated, place ribs on grill. Cook covered for 5-10 minutes, then brush on bbq sauce. Grill another 5-10 minutes, keep adding bbq sauce until there is a thick layer of bbq sauce.
If ribs become somewhat dark, that’s ok; the bbq sauce tastes better cooked than raw. When bbq sauce is all gone, the ribs are almost done.
Grill 5 more minutes to finish cooking bbq sauce, then serve. If they stick a little it is ok, that is what the oil and foil is for!!

Ribs are my favorites. So, I am going to share with you my recipe…a simple one. You need:
- bbq sauce (bottle type is great)
- water
First, wash the ribs. Heat up a pot of water to a boil.
Put the ribs into the boiling water for 20 mins to cook it.
Light up the bbq pit.
Put the cook ribs over the bbq fire. Spread the bbq sauce over the ribs, turn and apply again.
Do this a few rounds until the bbq gets into the ribs.
Will take about 15 to 20 mins.
The meat will be tender without any tenderizer. The taste will be good without any marination. Please try this and let us know if you like it.

You need a Webber barbecue with a lid. You need to use the spacers that hold the coals off to the sides. Put coals in the sides and light. Let them get hot and turn white. Put the ribs in the middle of the grill away from the coals. No direct heat. Place the lid on and leave just a small crack in the air vents in the lid and the bottom. You need to add a few coals every hour. This will cook slow for maybe 4-5 hours.
The trick is to keep the fire low so that the ribs cook until the meat slide off the bone but don’t burn. When they are ready, brush on your favorite sauce and cook for 10 minutes per side.
Perfect.

Put them in a crockpot and cover with bbq sauce. cook until fork tender/falling off the bone. if you want, throw ribs on the grill for a few minutes for some added flavor.
you could also put them in a pan (salt, pepper, bbq) and in the oven for a few hours. (covered with aluminum foil). cook about 250 degrees 3 or 4 hours or so. uncover, turn up to 350 for a half hour.
either way, just cook slowly until desired tenderness!
oh i forgot… on the underside of the ribs there is a very very thin “skin.” its hard to see, but you need to peel it off!

If you want the best ribs, be sure to use any of the recipes above, but first, season your ribs well by letting them soak overnight in a brine made with water and milk together salt and sugar(Depending on size of rack, use one part water, 2/3 part milk, , salt and sugar to taste). Stirr to mix until well dissolved. Pour into a ziploc bag and put the ribs inside. Next day, renmove from brine and discard liquid. Pat dry and prepare with any sauce you want. Prepare with enough time on the fire so the meat becomes easily separated from the bones.
Good luck!

Bake covered for 1 hr. at350degrees.Take them out and drain the fluid outofpan.Buy whatever BBQ sauce you like and slather the ribs with it on both sides. Putribs back in the oven at 350 and bake for another 30 to 40 minutes uncovered. Yummy.

First of all, you do NOT make barbecue anything in a crockpot, the oven, or on a gas grill!
You barbecue with charcoal and/or wood. You “grill” with gas.
That being said, bring your ribs to room temperature before you begin cooking. This provides even cooking. I put my rub on the ribs when I set them out to reach room temp.
Once my fire is ready, the hickory is introduced to the coals, and the ribs are put on. If you have like a Weber grill, keep the coals on one side, the ribs on the other.
DO NOT turn your ribs over during cooking.
15-20 minutes before pulling your ribs off the fire, begin to add your sauce to the ribs. You don’t want it to burn.
Ribs are ready to remove from the fire when the bone comes loose with no effort.

A sauce – your fav will do
A grill gas or charcoal

Sprinkle the ribs with the rub both sides cover and let rest for several hours or over nite
Set up your grill for in direct cooking – heat source not under the food.
Soake wood chips in water a hour before you start cooking
Place the rubbed ribs on the grates away from heat
put a hand full of wood chips on coals or if gas wrap in foil poke a feww hole in the top and place over flames

When it stops smoking add more chips.
Smoke for 1 to 2 hours longer the smokier
When done smoking wrap in foil (tight) place in a 250 oven for about 2 hours

Introduction
Baby-back ribs are the perfect type of ribs for the backyard grill because they can be cooked over hot, direct heat along with the burgers and steaks. Other types of ribs are best when slow cooked. One rack of baby-back ribs will feed two people, or one hungry one.
Instructions
Difficulty: Easy
Things You’ll Need
* 1 or more whole racks, pork baby-back ribs
* barbecue sauce of your choice
Steps
1
Step One
Prepare your grill fire. Baby-back ribs cook best when there are both hot and medium-low sections of the grill.
2
Step Two
Make sure the ribs are at or fairly close to room temperature, but don’t leave them out of the refrigerator for more than about an hour.
3
Step Three
Start the racks grilling over high heat.
4
Step Four
Cook them about a minute or two on each side, then move them to the part of the grill with moderately low heat.
5
Step Five
Turn them often as they cook.
6
Step Six
Note that the ribs will take about 10 to 12 minutes to cook.
7
Step Seven
Start brushing on sauce after about 5 or 6 minutes.
8
Step Eight
Near the end of the estimated cooking time, use a knife to cut away one bone from the meat to check for doneness. Or use an instant-read thermometer; the meat is done when the internal temperature reaches 155 degrees F. For both doneness tests, be sure to check in the thickest part of the rack.
Tips & Warnings
* It’s best to brush most barbecue sauces on close to the end of cooking time. Most sauces contain lots of sugar, which burns quite easily. Brush your sauce on at the end to avoid carbonizing it.
* Beware of overcooking the ribs. Baby-back racks are relatively small, and they can overcook and dry out fairly quickly, so watch them closely.

Sweet Bourbon Baby Backs
2 slabs baby back ribs
1/2 to 1 cup bourbon
1 cup apple juice
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons grill seasoning
4 to 5 cloves garlic, chopped
1 jar prepared barbecue sauce
Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.
Cut the baby back ribs into smaller even sized portions and place them into a shallow baking dish meat side up. Cover the ribs with the bourbon, reserving about 1/4 cup for the sauce, and then add the apple juice. Rub the meat side with the salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, grill seasoning, and the garlic. Place the ribs into the oven for 3 to 3 1/2 hours.
Preheat the grill.
Remove the ribs from the oven and hold for grilling. Mix 1/4 cup of the bourbon with the BBQ sauce and then coat the ribs with the mixture. Place the ribs on the grill and cook for about 15 minutes. Remove from the grill and arrange on a platter. Serve with grilled corn alongside, if desired.
