PF Chang’s barbecue sauce recipe?
jalyons asked:
Does anyone know where I can get a recipe for the sauce PF Chang’s uses on their barbecued spareribs?…or if it’s possible to purchase their barbecue sauce somewhere?
I’m talking about the sauce used on the barbecued spare ribs appetizer…not the braised short ribs.

Simmer for 5 minutes and skim off any foam.
Place Scallions, Ginger, Garlic and Star Anise on a piece of cheesecloth, tie cheesecloth into a pouch with butcher twine, then place into pot.
Add Hot Broad Bean Sauce and Five Spice to pot and slow simmer covered for 2 1/2 hours.
Turn Short Ribs over and skim off excess fat every 30 minutes.

Take KC bq master sauce (4 cups) and reduce in sauce pan adding distiller vinegar (1 cup) until you have about half of what you started with. In a nut shell.
Add spices like you desire.
