i make a spicy one from ketchup (or tomato sauce), mustard, a dash of vinegar, maple syrup, a bit of brown sugar, cloves, cayenne pepper (or Frank’s red hot), S & P, and some chili powder. also, some worchestershire sauce, a tsp of coco powder, and other spices & seasonings as well (they vary according to my mood: garlic & onion powders, curry, paprika, etc)
it’s awesome on pork, as well as chicken.

You can make it from store cupboard stuff –
theres a good recipe on cookeryclub.
but
at a guess
3 tablespoons tomato sauce
1 tablespoon any vinegar
1 tablespoon any sugar
1 teaspoon tomato puree
1 clove garlic – optional
1 chilli – optional or chilli sauce
1 – 2 teaspoons soya sauce or 1 of worcester sauce
– just mix and use as a marinade, dip of baste on to the meat while cooking.
